Tate Donovan is an actor and director on the television series Damages. He portrays Tom Shayes, a main character in the first three seasons. He directed the episodes "I Agree, It Wasn't Funny" and "Uh Oh. Out Come the Skeletons" in the second season, "Drive It Through Hardcore" in the third season, and "There's Something Wrong With Me" and "The Storm's Moving in" in the fifth season.
